Stephen Yorke
Stephen Yorke is a professional artist living in the Minervois, Southwest France.
Aged 11, he won a place at Moseley School of Art in Birmingham, where he studied classical rendering techniques in all aspects of fine art.
Today he strives to communicate his fascination with light, its ability to change and refashion the same hillside or valley, to sculpt a still life and to share that illusive time-of-day ambience.
Working in oil, watercolour, oil pastel and graphite, he now divides his style between the traditional and more modern abstract approach.
In 2009, he enjoyed a successful, first exhibition in New York.
Stephen is now embarking on a publishing career. The Resting Angel is the first in a series of limited-edition print releases of his work.
